Garage door width- To measure the width of the garage door, you need to take measurements of each brick from left to right (doesn’t really matter) but please don’t include the frames. It is best to have someone help you reach both ends if the width is too wide. You may pump into uneven areas which should be noted down as they can affect the final work.

Garage door height- This should be done by taking measurements from the floor all the way to the lowest part of the intel from top to down (also doesn’t matter where you start from). Consider uneven parts from either side too.

Do not forget to measure the pillar width, the motor side and the height of the upper roll. As long as you know where these parts are, you only need to run the rape measure on these parts to get the measurements.

Having the exact measurements of these places ensure that when you but the perfect garage door size. Kindly measure as many times as possible if need be to ensure that you have the correct measurements making sure that you have all the important parts measured. They basically protect the garage from dust and weather conditions like rain and sun keeping your garage warm at all times.
